Coriolis provided market analysis inputs to town centre plans in the District of North Vancouver, including Lower Capilano, Lower Lynn, and Maplewood. Our work included forecasting demand for residential and commercial development, as well as recommending land use and density policies that will encourage redevelopment.
Coriolis was retained by High River, Alberta to provide long range estimates of development potential, as an input to the creation of a downtown plan.
Coriolis was selected by the City of Victoria to help guide programs and initiatives to improve its downtown. The work included evaluating whether the core has been improving or declining over the last decade and recommending strategies the City could pursue to help ensure that downtown remains vibrant and healthy in economic and social terms.
We have worked on downtown and/or commercial area revitalization strategies in Kelowna, Vernon, Prince Rupert, Port Alberni, Ladysmith, Squamish, Mission, Brandon, Saskatoon, Lethbridge, Grande Prairie, Medicine Hat, and Winnipeg.
For Metro Vancouver, we have monitored and evaluated trends in the amount and distribution of commercial space among the CBD, Regional Town Centres, major shopping centres, and neighbourhood centres.
