Strategic Plans
Municipal Real Estate Strategy, Richmond BC

The City of Richmond owns a large portfolio of real estate acquired for income generation, strategic investment, and economic development purposes. Coriolis worked with the City’s Real Estate Department to develop a strategic plan for the portfolio, including acquisitions, dispositions, governance, and targets for financial performance.  The Strategy was recently adopted by City Council.

Riverfront Development Implementation Strategy – City of Edmonton, AB

Coriolis is helping the City of Edmonton create an implementation strategy for the development of a large parcel of City-owned riverfront land.

Seismic Strategy for the Vancouver School Board
Vancouver, BC

Coriolis assisted the Vancouver School Board with a comprehensive assessment of older school buildings with seismic risk. Coriolis coordinated the work of structural engineers, heritage consultants, architects, and educators to develop a strategy that identified schools to be retained and upgraded and schools that should be replaced with new buildings.

School Site Redevelopment Plan
North Vancouver, BC

Coriolis was retained by the North Vancouver School District to develop a strategy for creating a new administration headquarters using the proceeds from disposition of surplus property. Coriolis completed a similar strategy for the Vancouver School Board which resulted in the redevelopment of a large property at Broadway and Granville including office, residential, retail, park, and school district offices in a mixed use project.

Downtown Library and College Development
Calgary, AB

Coriolis worked with the City of Calgary, the Calgary Public Library, and Bow Valley College to coordinate planning for the redevelopment of a full city block in downtown. The project includes a new central library, college facilities, a new LRT station, retail space, and elements of the University of Calgary’s downtown campus.

Calgary, AB

Coriolis was retained by the University of Calgary on behalf of a consortium of Alberta educational institutions to help develop an organizational structure, business plan, and physical plan for a shared downtown campus.
